Marck Espejo flies to Bahrain, to play for Bani Jamra

Marck Espejo has left the country silently, Thursday morning.

This as the 23-year-old spiker has been signed by Bahraini club Bani Jamra.

Espejo confirmed the development to Tiebreaker Times last Sunday.

This will be the five-time Spikers’ Turf MVP’s stint abroad.

Back in 2018, the 6-foot-3 winger played for Oita Miyoshi in the Japanese V.League.

He then suited up for Thailand League’s Visakha a year later.

In 2019, he also led Cignal to two championships while helping steer the Philippines to silver in the 30th Southeast Asian Games.

Espejo looks to do the same magic with Bani Jamra as it finished last in the 2018-19 season of the Bahraini Volleyball 1st Division League.

His contract with the club will last until April of 2021.

Espejo’s campaign begins this Sunday.
