Ex-Petron spikers Ces Molina, Remy Palma refuel at Petro Gazz

Ces Molina and Remy Palma will be wearing a different shade of red when they return to the taraflex.

Well, they will be representing another petroleum company altogether.

This as Molina and Palma, both former members of PSL club Petron, have signed with PVL team Petro Gazz.

Petron disbanded its volleyball team due to the on-going coronavirus pandemic.

This will be a change of scenery for both Molina, 26, and Palma, 25.

Since graduating from San Beda, the 5-foot-9 outside hitter Molina has been with Petron through thick or thin. In Petron, the native of Nueva Ecija has been honored with the 2017 Invitational 1st Best Outside Spiker and 2015 Grand Prix 2nd Best Opposite Spiker awards.

This will be Molina second stint with the PVL, previously playing for PNP back in 2014.

On the other hand, the 5-foot-10 middle blocker Palma, a product of FEU, has been with Petron since 2016. If Molina was the team skipper on paper, Palma was the voice of the team on the court.

With this signing, Molina and Palma can finally call themselves professional volleyball players as well.

Besides the duo, Petro Gazz also signed ex-Generika stalwarts Kath Arado and Ria Meneses and UE’s Seth Rodriguez and Mean Mendrez.

Gone from the Angels are 5-foot-7 outside hitter Jonah Sabete; middle blockers 6-foot Jeanette Panaga and 5-foot-11 Cherry Nunag; 5-foot-9 opposite hitter Kai Nepomuceno-Baloaloa; and 5-foot-8 outside hitter Jovie Prado.
