Bagunas drops 26 as Oita slump extends to 15 in V.League


Bryan Bagunas’ heroics for Oita Miyoshi is still not enough in the new year.

This as Weisse Adler fell to FC Tokyo in four sets, 23-25, 25-13, 25-27, 19-25, in the 2020-21 Japan V.League Division 1 Men’s Tournament at the Beppu City General Gymnasium, Saturday.

The Filipino standout unloaded 26 points founded on 22 attacks, three blocks, and a service ace in the losing cause.

Fellow import Curtis Stockton chipped in 21 markers in the affair that lasted 1 hour and 48 minutes.

Oita Miyoshi stayed winless in 15 games, still unable to break the slump this 2021.

Leading the way for FC Tokyo was Yuma Nagatomo with 17 points in 15 spikes and two blocks.

Hideyuki Kuriyama added 14 markers for the victors including four blocks while Guoshi Sakoda had 10 points.

FC Tokyo hiked its win-loss record to 5-10.

Weisse Adler look to produce their first win tomorrow as they face again FC Tokyo on Sunday at 2 pm in the same venue.
