Mac shines as SMART Omega romps Zero Two in DPC Lower Division


Mc Nicholson “Mac” Villanueva stellar outing gave Smart Omega Esports a winning debut at the expense of Zero Two, 2-0, in the Dota Pro Circuit 2021: S1 – Southeast Asia Lower Division, Wednesday afternoon.

Mac’s Batrider scorched Zero Two in Game One, finishing with six kills, two deaths, and 15 assists to notch MVP honors. The Cebuano middle laner also collected a total of 20,461 in the 32:16-minute match.

Omega offlaner Jun “Bok” Kanehara put up nine kills, four deaths, and 15 assists with Lycan. Meanwhile, carry Justin “Tino” Grimaldo chipped in five kills, a death, and 11 assists playing Arc Warden.

Ng Kee “ChYuan” Chyuan led Zero Two with five kills, six deaths, and four assists using Puck. On the other hand, Randy Muhammad “Dreamocel” Sapoetra’s Terrorblade was held to just three kills, two deaths, and three assists in the opener.

Omega went on a different route in Game Two with an unorthodox lineup. Still, the Filipinos dominated Zero Two for their first victory of the DPC season.

Mac continued his exploits in the second match, posting 13 kills, two deaths, and 13 assists playing Death Prophet. Team captain Marvin “Boomy” Rushton, who used Outworld Destroyer as support, produced four kills, two deaths, and 10 assists.

The former Adroit stars put up 30 kills while limiting Zero Two to just 10 in the match that lasted for 31 minutes.

ChYuan once again was the lone bright spot for Zero Two with six kills. The Malaysian middle laner, however, died seven times in the match.
