M2 World title will cement Ribo as winningest player in ML history

BREN Esports lifer CJ “Ribo” Ribo is on his way to become the winningest player in the professional Mobile Legends scene.

Ribo — who is one of the only two remnants of the fabled Aether Main squad — has won different titles in local and international tournaments with the Bernard Chong-owned franchise.

In the Philippines, the versatile player already has two Mobile Legends Professional League championships and one in The Nationals.

But it didn’t stop there for the 24-year-old side laner as he also made his mark on the international stage.

Ribo was part of the BREN Esports squad that dominated the Southeast Asia Cyber Arena and the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup in 2018. The global invasion continued for Ribo in 2019, bagging the Challenger Summit Singapore trophy and the crowning jewel of his trophy case — the Southeast Asian Games gold medal.

Ribo only needs a world title to cement his legacy as the most victorious player in the history of mobile MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena).

Interestingly, BREN Esports coach Francis “Duckey” Glindro is also carving a path on his own.

The soft-spoken tactician is set to become the first coach with two world titles, winning his first one in the M1 World Championship with the EVOS Legends.

And both of them has the chance to etch their names in the history of MLBB once BREN Esports face the Burmese Ghouls in the best-of-seven M2 Grand Finals later at 6:00 pm.
