Omega dealt third straight loss in DPC by Fnatic

Fnatic handed all-Filipino squad Smart Omega Esports its third-straight loss via a 2-1 reverse sweep in the Dota Pro Circuit 2021: Season Two-Southeast Asia upper division, Wednesday evening.

Filipino support Djardel “Dj” Mampusti set up Fnatic’s game-clinching 24-12 Game Three win, finishing with a game-high 20 assists along with a kill playing Enchantress.

Fnatic midlaner Kam “Moon” Boon Seng registered eight kills and 12 assists against just two deaths playing Templar Assassin while carry Polo “Raven” Fausto added six kills, three deaths, and 10 assists along with a game-high 28,233 net worth playing Luna.

Offlaner Ng “ChYuan” Kee Chyuan, who was named match MVP in Game Three, chipped in four kills, two deaths, and 15 assists in the match that lasted for 40 minutes and 20 seconds.

On the other hand, Mc Nicholson “Mac” Villanueva led Smart Omega with four kills, five deaths, and six assists playing Storm Spirit while carry Justin “Tino” Grimaldo was held to just a kill, three deaths, and two assists with his Morphling.

Through a strong Tiny showing from Tino, Omega was able to draw first blood in the series to send Fnatic on the brink of losing. But timely arrows from Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong’s Mirana in Game Two helped Fnatic send the series to a deciding Game Three.

Fnatic is currently sitting at the fifth spot with a 2-1 record while Omega, who started the season strong with two consecutive wins, now has a 2-3 record at the sixth seat after dropping three-straight games.

Omega Esports looks to enter the win column again against OB Esports x Neon on Thursday, while Fnatic will next face Lilgun on Saturday.
