MPL PH: Blacklist sweeps TNC, barges to ninth straight win

Blacklist International bagged its ninth consecutive win after sweeping TNC, 2-0, in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight, Saturday afternoon.

The win gave the Tier One-backed squad a franchise-best 9-0 start still at the number one spot with 23 points.

TNC stomped Blacklist International to the ground in the early goings of Game One, but the top-ranked MPL squad came back late to steal the 9-6 Game One victory for the early 1-0 lead.

Salic “Hadjizy” Imam’s Vale proved to be the key in the rally, nabbing the SMART 5G MVP with two kills and six assists without a single death in the 20:18-minute match.MPL-PH-8-Blacklist-def-TNC-Game-1 MPL PH: Blacklist sweeps TNC, barges to ninth straight win ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news

“Actually before mag start yung Game One match alam na namin na lugi kami sa early game against TNC dahil ng amalakas yung heroes nila and talagang sinubukan naming i-delay yung game like hindi namin cinocontest yung turtle,” said team captain Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna after the game.

“Siguro nag kamali lang kami nung second turtle sinubukan naming i-contest tapos doon kami na-pushan ni Toshi and ni Light sa gold lane. Pero even though nabasag na yung mga towers namin and behind kami sa gold confident kami na kaya naming i-panalo yun,” he added.

Come Game Two, Blacklist International returned the favor to TNC with a dominant showing for the quick 16-4 victory.

OhMyV33NUS’ signature Mathilda dictated the tempo for the defending champions after securing two quick kills in the first minutes of the match.

That seemed to ignite the fire in Blacklist International with Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario (Yi Sun-Shin) and Edward “Edward” Dapadap (Benedetta) also making exceptional plays around the map.
