Bombita explains decision to join Cignal

Graze Bombita is set to enter a new chapter in her career.

The 30-year-old outside hitter has been signed by Cignal for the 2022 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference on Thursday – marking the end of her two-year stint with BaliPure.

And Bombita could not wait to suit up and work with the HD Spikers’ veteran players such as Rachel Anne Daquis, Janine Marciano, and Jheck Dionela.

“Very exciting kasi iyong mga makakasama is mga beterano and I know marami ako matutunan sa kanila and doon ako sobrang na excite po,” Bombita told Tiebreaker Times.

With Cignal, the 5-foot-9 open spiker believes that her dream of becoming a champion is within reach. That, despite the HD Spikers’ rough campaign in the Ilocos Norte bubble which placed them last in the 10-team field with a 1-8 standing.

Still, the pride of University of Nueva Caceres remained grateful to BaliPure. She also admitted that making the decision to leave the Water Defenders, which she considers like family, was not easy.2021-PVL-Open-Perlas-vs.-Balipure-Graze-Bombita-0606 Bombita explains decision to join Cignal News PVL Volleyball - philippine sports news

Lahat ng learnings and memories babaonin ko po iyon,” said Bombita, who led BaliPure to the eight-place with a 3-6 record.

“And I’m extra grateful of the years of opportunity din po talaga, they have guided me well po and especially to the management,” she added.

Now with her new squad, Bombita vows to give Cignal her all as they try to climb out of the PVL cellar and compete for the title.

Ngayon, coming into the next season with Cignal po with my new team, excited ako na matumbasan iyong tiwala na binigay nila sakin po.”
