T1 leads cast for DPC SEA Tour 1

It’s all systems go for the Dota Pro Circuit Southeast Asia 2021-22 Tour 1: Division 1.

The tournament will raise its curtains on December 1 and will last until January 22 next year.

Leading the teams are returnees T1, TNC Predator, Execration, Fnatic, OB.Neon, and Omega Esports.

T1 had a 7th-8th place finish in The International 10.

Completing the teams are former Lower Division squads Motivate.Trust Gaming and Team SMG, which finished the previous edition at first and second, respectively.

The powerhouse BOOM Esports, which now houses Filipino stars Timothy “Tims” Randrup, Gabriel “Skem” Ong, and Erin “Yopaj” Ferrer, will be relegated to the lower bracket after the former roster finished seventh in the previous upper division tourney.

BOOM Esports had the chance to salvage its spot in the upper-division but lost to Omega Esports and OB.Neon in the tiebreaker.

From PGL in the last season, Beyond the Summit will now be the ones organizing the SEA event. Meanwhile, KuyaNic is still the official Filipino broadcast for the DPC season.

This year, there will be three sets of tours in the Dota Pro Circuit which will consist of a Regional League season and a Major.

The format will be pretty much the same as last year’s, but the events will scale differently now as Valve placed more emphasis on the latter stages of the circuit – giving the events closer to The International 11 a hefty amount of DPC points to be earned.

The first roster lock of the season will be on November 21, Tuesday at 3:59 PM (Manila time).
