Yowe, Febby to lead TNC’s new era

A new era has begun for the TNC Predator.

The Filipino powerhouse squad announced its new roster headlined by former Execration star Yuri Dave “Yowe” Pacaña and veteran Kim “Febby” Yong-min.

Joining the two are Levi “YoungGod” Lagaret, Lee “X1aOyU” Qian Yu, and Prieme “PlayHard” Banquil.

“Rebuilding the team will never be easy, and despite this being our biggest hurdle yet, the Phoenix will work its way to rise again and compete in the highest level,” said TNC CEO Eric Redulfin in a statement.

Yowe last played for Execration last July. Meanwhile, Febby coached TNC over the past year before joining the active roster for the first season of the Dota Pro Circuit Southeast Asia. He eventually moved to Team Undying, where he coached the team in The International 10.

Last September 15, TNC announced the release of its main roster, including mainstays Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte, Timothy “Tims” Randrup, and Armel “Armel” Tabios. This follows a disastrous Dota Pro Circuit season that saw them miss TI10.

Tims bolted to BOOM Esports, where he teamed up with Filipino rising stars Erin “Yopaj” Ferrer and Gabriel “Skem” Ong. Meanwhile, Gabbi joined forces with Tal “Fly” Aizik and Damien “kpii” Chok in the recently-formed Talon Esports Dota 2 team.

Armel, on the other hand, has yet to announce his next steps.

TNC is set to compete in the first tour of the Dota Pro Circuit Southeast Asia 2021-22 Division 1. The tournament will open on December 1, Wednesday.
