Paat makes VTL debut as Nakhon Ratchasima falls to Diamond Food

Mylene Paat delivered the big hits but it was not enough to lift Nakhon Ratchasima past Diamond Food, bowing in four sets, 24-26, 25-23, 23-25, 15-25, in the 2021-22 EST Cola Volleyball Thailand League season, Wednesday at MCC Hall The Mall Bang Kapi.

This is Paat’s first game in the league, arriving in Thailand a couple of days after the 2021 PNVF Champions League ended.

And the product of Adamson shone brightly in her debut, dropping 22 points built on 18 attacks and four blocks.

Strong was the start of Paat, as she and Chatsuda Nilapa combined for 13 points in a tight 24-26 first set loss.

Paat sustained her fine form in the second set, scoring six in helping even the game.

However, Kaewkalaya Kamulthala and Sasipaphon Janthawisut poured it on in the third set while sustaining their momentum in the fourth to seal the win.

Janthawisut led Diamond Food with 20 points while Kamulthala and Thanacha Sooksod added 14 points apiece.

Nilapa complemented Paat with 16 points while Chitaporn Kamlangmak and Patchaporn Sittisad finished with 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Paat and Nakhon Ratchasima will next face Khonkaenstar on December 23.
