Brandon Brown bids San Miguel farewell

Brandon Brown has bid farewell to San Miguel.

In an Instagram Story Wednesday, the American cager expressed gratitude for his short stint with the Beermen in the 2021-22 PBA Governors’ Cup.

“Thank you San Miguel for my time here,” he wrote through his account brandonthegr8. “Thank you PBA for allowing imports to come to this country and do what they love.

“Thank you fans for the support. Happy you guys get to watch your favorite teams. Dark B out,” the 36-year-old added.2021-22-PBA-Governors-Cup-San-Miguel-Brandon-Brown-Instagram-Story Brandon Brown bids San Miguel farewell Basketball News PBA - philippine sports news

Formerly of Phoenix Super LPG, Brown returned to the country back in November to reinforce San Miguel in the season-ending tilt.

His start with the Beermen, though, didn’t start in the most ideal of ways as they opened the conference with losses to NLEX and Alaska.

But SMB managed to snap out of its funk versus Arwind Santos and NorthPort, marking the start of a three-game winning streak.

In five games, Brown averaged 23.4 points on 44.2-percent shooting from the field, on top of 12.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 3.0 steals.

His best game was actually in their defeat to the Road Warriors. There, he produced 36 points in 36 minutes, alongside 13 rebounds.

Tiebreaker Times has reached out to San Miguel team manager Gee Abanilla for confirmation and Brown’s replacement if ever, but has yet to respond as of this posting.

All PBA games are streamed live on GigaPlay. Download it now on Android or IOS.

The second game of each playdate is also livestreamed on SMART Sports.
