V.League: Espejo misses third straight game for Tokyo due to shoulder injury

Marck Espejo missed his third consecutive game as his FC Tokyo bowed to defending champion Suntory, 34-36, 18-25, 15-25, in the 2021-22 V.League Division 1 men’s tournament at the Sumida City s Gymnasium, Sunday.

During an Instagram live earlier today between Espejo and Bryan Bagunas, the latter asked the former how his shoulder is doing.

“Ano na pre? Bakit hindi ka naglalaro? Kumusta na balikat mo?” wondered the Oita Miyoshi import.

“Okay naman pre, pinapalakas lang,” said the FC Tokyo import, which explained why he missed the past three outings.

FC Tokyo slid to 6-14 but still at eighth place.

But the five-time Spikers’ Turf Conference MVP shared that he’ll be back on the Taraflex next week. The team travels to Kariya City Gymnasium to face JTEKT.

More importantly, the two Filipino imports will be available in Oita Miyoshi and FC Tokyo clash on the first weekend of February.

“So sa game natin makakalaro ka?” said Bagunas.

“Oo kasi ‘yun talaga ang pinaghahandaan ko,” Espejo said in jest.
