TNT to close out Govs’ Cup with three games in seven days

TNT won’t have the luxury of rest after its Gilas Pilipinas responsibilities for next week’s FIBA World Cup 2023 Asian Qualifiers here in Manila.

The Tropang Giga will only have less than a week to recover as they are set to return to PBA Governors’ Cup action on March 4 versus Blackwater.

They would take on Terrafirma five days later, and then NorthPort on March 11 to wrap up the season-ending conference’s elimination round.

The flagship MVP Group franchise had gotten into such a predicament as the league adjusted its schedule to accommodate the team’s upcoming national team duty on February 24-28 at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.

And since the multi-nation event will be at the Big Dome, the PBA will stage its games at the Ynares Center in Antipolo from the 23rd to the 27th.

That stretch will also see NorthPort play without Robert Bolick as he’s part of Gilas, meaning that the Batang Pier will take on Magnolia (February 24) and Phoenix Super LPG (February 26) without their main man.

Meanwhile, ushering the league’s return to Antipolo after two years will be the motivated Alaska and NLEX at 3:00 p.m., followed by San Miguel’s meeting with the Fuel Masters at 6:00 p.m.

Meralco and Terrafirma face off the next day, serving as the front act of the Batang Pier-Hotshots tiff at 6 in the evening.

The Road Warriors return to action on the 25th with a duel against Rain or Shine at 3 in the afternoon. Defending champs Barangay GInebra San Miguel will then take the court at 6:00 p.m. as it meets Blackwater.

The Aces will continue their farewell tour against Meralco on the 26th at 4:00 p.m., while Phoenix and NorthPort slug it out at 6:30.

Magnolia and SMB banner Sunday’s special on the 27th at 6:30 p.m. in another titanic clash to conclude the league’s Antipolo trip. The Gin Kings are also scheduled to play that day versus the Dyip at 4:00 p.m.

All PBA games stream live on GigaPlay. Download it now on Android or IOS.

The second game of each playdate is also livestreamed on SMART Sports.
