Cameron Clark set to arrive as NLEX’s replacement for KJ McDaniels

NLEX was quick to find a replacement for the departing KJ McDaniels.

On Thursday, the Road Warriors announced that it has signed Cameron Clark to be its import for the rest of the PBA Governors’ Cup.

The ball club had to search for a new reinforcement as the former NBA cager will have to go back home sooner because of family reasons.

It is indeed a tough blow for NLEX, since McDaniels has been a big reason behind its 7-3 record that put the team on track for a Top Four finish.

Formerly of TNT KaTropa, the 29-year-old out of Clemson is averaging 30.8 points, 11.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.8 blocks, and 1.8 steals.

McDaniels will play his final game on Friday against defending champions Ginebra in a bid to secure a coveted twice-to-beat edge.

Meanwhile, Clark will bring with him a vast experience of pro ball that he garnered from playing in Italy, Turkey, and Germany.

The former Oklahoma Sooner, 30, last played for German club EWE Baskets Oldenburg, which plays in the Bundesliga and the Champions League.

This marks yet another major change over at NLEX, who traded to acquire Justin Chua but lost Jericho Cruz to free agency.

The Road Warriors are presently at second in the standings, taking the place of Meralco as the Bolts lost to top seed Magnolia (8-1) Wednesday.
