Benthings, TNC remained on-guard for RSG’s five-man fight

TNC’s preparation proved to be the key as the squad avoided a huge mishap in the opening match of its 2-0 sweep of RSG PH on Friday.

With the team already ahead in Game One after completing a siege that brought down both RSG PH’s top and middle lane outer turrets, things almost turned sideways with RSG PH initiating a Conceal play in the middle lane.

That, however, failed as TNC managed to get out in time to force RSG PH away. That signaled a counter engagement from the former which proved the key in the tight 9-10 win in 19 minutes and 21 seconds.

According to TNC roamer Ben “Benthings” Maglaque, the team was ready heading into the match against RSG PH.

In fact, the team is wary of RSG PH’s tendency to initiate five-man clashes. The team then managed to exit easily during the initiation, which opened up a chance for them to re-engage. They also took out Dylan “Light” Catipon’s Edith in the process.

“Prepared lang po kami na ano, na mag-i-invi play sila kasi based sa review namin sa laro nila, ang hilig nila mag five-man team fight,” said Benthings, who finished with six assists and a kill in Game One playing Chou.

“Kaya lagi po kaming on-guard kahit wala pang nangyayari sa mapa. Alisto kumbaga,” he added.

TNC carried the momentum in Game Two, with Benthings once again flaunting his mechanical skills this time as Franco. He managed to delay Jonard “Demonkite” Caranto’s farm by using his Iron Hook to delay the RSG PH jungler’s resources.

That, along with solid late-game execution, helped TNC grab a 9-5 win in 14 minutes and 25 seconds. Benthings finished with seven assists and two deaths in the series-clinching victory.

TNC moved to the second spot with 10 points through a 3-1 standing.

Next up for TNC is ONIC PH on Sunday at 6:00 PM.
