Double celebration for Panda as he gets a ‘yes’ as well

Not one, but two proposals happened in the MPL Philippines Season Nine grand finals at the SMX Convention Center.

After TNC’s Ben “Benthings” Maglaque popped the question to his long-time girlfriend, RSG PH head coach Brian “Panda” Lim went down on one knee and proposed to his sweetheart in front of the MPL crown just minutes after winning the championship on Monday.

“Benthings did it first, but this is my own version. Thank you for always being my inspiration for three years and I love you so much. And finally, I’ve always dreamed about this fairy tale pero, will you please marry me?” said Panda.

“I will not say no, ikaw si Coach Panda. Best coach! It’s a yes!” said Jennifer Riquer.

Indeed, it was a double celebration for the decorated tactician, who now has a total of two MPL championships under his belt. He is now tied with Blacklist International head coach Kristoffer “BON CHAN” Ricaplaza with the most MPL titles as a coach.MPL-PH-9-Playoffs-RSG-def-Omega-Panda Double celebration for Panda as he gets a 'yes' as well ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news

Panda’s RSG PH also became the first foreign organization to win an MPL title in the Philippines.

After a dominant run in the regular season that saw the team nab the top seed through an 11-3 ranking, RSG PH stepped it up a notch in the playoffs – posting a 10-1 win-loss slate during the playoffs, losing only to Omega Esports in the grand finals which ended at 4-1.

“Always said that the job is not done yet but the job is finally done. I want to thank everyone, and the many reason you guys can call me madamot, selfish, why I’m doing this, but I’ve been waiting to do this for three years,” bared Panda.
