With Finals MVP plum, Nathzz now belongs in upper echelon of MPL

After being named as the finals’ Most Valuable Player, Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo felt that he can finally be considered as one of the best exp laners in the MPL Philippines scene.

“Ngayon parang feeling ko ako na yung pinakamalakas pero hindi ko naman pino-proclaim na ako talaga. Feeling ko lang yun,” shared

Nathzz after RSG PH’s 4-1 win over Omega Esports in the grand finals last Sunday.

It was a well-deserved feat for the up-and-coming exp laner, who also nabbed the Most Valuable Player plums in both Games One and Three of the finals.

Nathzz’s Esmeralda dominated his lane matchup in Game One, putting on a show with five kills and 12 assists for RSG PH. He then locked down Duane “Kelra” Pillas’ Clint in Game Three and finished with a 4-2-4 KDA line on Dyroth.

“Masaya. Nakabawi e, nung nakaraang season wala e, ‘di ako kilala. Average EXP laner lang,” added Nathzz.

RSG PH head coach Brian “Panda” Lim had nothing but good words for the sophomore exp laner who, from a so-so rookie season bounced back and became one of the top young players this season.

Aside from Nathzz, Panda also credited the entire team — from the main five to the reserves — for stepping up this Season Nine.

“Nathzz is actually, how do you say this, if one person dies, he carries two. And that’s what I think everyone saw and that’s why he’s the finals MVP,” bared Panda.

“But it not really just Nathzz, every player played their roles.”
