Shaun Ildefonso, Chris Lalata impress in PBA Draft Combine

Shaun Ildefonso and Chris Lalata turned heads as they aced some of the tests in the PBA Season 47 Draft Combine, Wednesday at Gatorade Hoops Center.

The National University product flexed how quick he is even with a stocky 6-foot-2 frame as he topped the agility test by registering 3.46 seconds.

It was 0.17 ticks clear of the time set by both Orlan Wamar and Andrey Armenion, point guards who stand at 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-9, respectively.

The son of PBA great Danny Ildefonso just finished his playing career with the Bulldogs, who fell just short of reaching the UAAP Season 84 Final Four.

On the other hand, Lalata showed that he has the best hops among the 57 hopefuls that attended as he leaped 134 inches in the standing vertical test.

A veteran of minor leagues the last few years, the lanky forward out of Olivarez College also topped the three-step jump course with 134 inches as well.

Following Lalata in the said test were Fil-Am Jeremy Arthur with 132.5 inches, and then Arellano University product Justin Arana (131.5 inches).

Arthur, 27, was also part of the top finishers in the reaction test.

On top was John Rey Villanueva. Tied at second were Rence Alcoriza and Revino Raymundo, followed by Carlo De Chavez, Jollo Go, and Arthur.

Also making a mark on Day One of the pre-draft activity was Enzo Joson, who topped the 3/4 sprint course that saw him run 3.01 seconds.
