MSC: RSG PH opens campaign with dominant sweep of See You Soon

RSG PH opened its 2022 MSC campaign with a rousing 2-0 sweep of Cambodia’s See You Soon, Saturday at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre.

The reigning MPL PH champs established their dominance early with Arvie “Aqua” Calderon’s Kagura and Dylan “Light” Catipon’s Franco making the early rotations that produced three kills each from Aqua and Eman “EMANN” Sangco’s Beatrix entering the seven-minute mark.

The team then bagged the Base Lord in the 9:35-mark to take a 6K lead that ballooned to as much as 9K past the 12th minute. A five-man wipe led by EMANN ended the game.

EMANN nabbed MVP honors in the 13-4 Game One with six kills and five assists against one death while Aqua recorded four kills and four assists without a death

The Filipino squad felt some resistance from the side of the Cambodians in Game Two, but finally got its much-needed separation via a five-man wipe at the 13:56-mark.

RSG PH then scored three kills midway into the 17th minute which allowed them to secure the win by pushing the middle lane.

Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto’s Karina led the 19-10 Game Two win with four kills, two deaths, and 11 assists while Aqua had a 2-1-11 KDA line.

RSG PH looks to sweep Group B later against sister squad RSG PH at 7:30 PM.
