NLEX’s Jojo Lastimosa to replace Gabby Cui as TNT manager

Jojo Lastimosa is leaving NLEX after eight years.

The 58-year-old assistant coach looks to take on a bigger role. He will be replacing Gabby Cui as team manager of TNT in the Philippine Basketball Association.

Arangkada NLEX released the development on Monday evening.

“We gave him our blessing since it’s a personal advancement for him,” said Road Warriors head coach and team manager Yeng Guiao.

“We thank Coach Jolas for his invaluable contributions to the Road Warriors organization and we wish him good luck in the next phase of his career.”

After being an assistant in Alaska from 2006 to 2013, Lastimosa moved to NLEX. He became an assistant coach to both Boyet Fernandez and Guiao.

Lastimosa also pinched-hit for Guiao during the latter’s time in Gilas.

Cui, meanwhile, had been the team manager of TNT since 2019.

Lastimosa was also part of San Beda’s shortlist for its next head coach.
