MPL: RSG continues surge, dispatches ECHO for third straight win

RSG PH surged to its third straight victory after making quick work of ECHO, 2-0, in the MPL Philippines Season 10 regular season, Saturday at the ICITE Auditorium.

The reigning MPL Philippines champion forged a tie with ECHO with identical 4-2 standings.

“Our goal is we want to protect the crown that we have. Starting from the bottom, top seven, and going up the top seed na, shows that our hard work is really showing what we are doing right now is tama,” said RSG PH head coach Brian “Panda” Lim.

After losing the first two Lords to ECHO, RSG PH turned things around at the 14th minute after denying ECHO’s siege and securing a four-man wipe that left Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya (Dyroth) the lone player to defend.

Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera (Chou) resurrected in time to aid Sanford but it was not enough to stop RSG PH from ending the match.

Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto (Paquito) topped RSG PH with four kills and four assists against one death while Arvie “Aqua” Calderon (Kagura) had a 4-0-4 KDA line. Dylan “Light” Catipon (Atlas), meanwhile, had a kill, four deaths, and seven assists in the 11-9 win which lasted for 15 minutes and 28 seconds.

In Game Two, RSG PH, banking on the Atlas-Faramis combo of Light and Aqua, respectively, took an early 6-0 advantage in the first seven minutes of the match which gave them a 4K gold advantage.

From there, RSG PH never looked back and ran away with a 13-3 Game Two victory in just 11 minutes and 43 seconds.
