H2wo has no qualms with RSG PH’s meme: ‘Para sa akin okay lang kung doon sila happy’

It turns out, John Paul “H2wo” Salonga had no problems at all regarding the meme that RSG PH posted following its first round victory against Nexplay EVOS last August 28.

Speaking for the first time since the viral meme rocked the entire MPL Philippines community, H2wo told Tiebreaker Times that he understands that banters, especially in a creative realm like ML:BB esports, are just normal.

Moreover, he cleared that he did not take offense to the Attack on Titan-inspired photo.

“Siyempre gets naman na may mga banters talaga and meme sa bawat teams, para sa akin okay lang kung doon sila happy and doon nila mace-celebrate (yung) ‘pag ka panalo nila,” H2wo said after the team’s 0-2 loss against Blacklist International last Friday.

In fact, H2wo – who struggled to find footing throughout the first round of Season 10 – said that the incident even motivated him to improve.

“Na-motivate ako na i-prove sa lahat na hindi lang ako meme worthy, na-motivate ako mas i-prove sarili ko, yung mga bash naman is ginagawa kong stepping stones eh,” said H2wo.

Nexplay EVOS suffered its seventh defeat in eight games against the reigning world champions. H2wo, Jeniel “YellyHaze” Bata-anon, Mico “Micophobia” Quitlong, and James “Jeymz” Gloria all sat out of the match.

With their playoff chances slowly dwindling down, H2wo bared that the team must reflect on their losses if they want to turn things around and make it into the postseason.

“Kailangan naming mag-reflect sa lahat ng talo and matuto sa lahat ng pagkakamali namin,” said H2wo. “Ayun, focus pa rin siyempre sa practice and lagi ko lang nireremind sarili ko na matatalo lang talaga kami pag sumuko at hindi kami natuto sa lahat ng pagkakamali namin.”

H2wo also did not forget to thank his fans who immediately leaped to his defense. He also vowed to repay their support by bouncing back in the team’s next games.

“Sobrang na-appreciate ko po sila kasi rain or shine nandyan sila. Sobrang grateful ko din sa tiwala, especially sa mga pagkakataon na ito sobrang nakaka boost yung tiwala nila para lumaban pa.”
