IESF: Blacklist-powered Sibol ML falls short against Indonesia in finals

SIBOL ML:BB fell short in the 14th IESF World Esports Championships finale, losing to Indonesia, 0-3, to settle for a silver finish, Sunday.

This is the first time that the Philippines failed to bag a major Mobile Legends: Bang Bang event since the M1 World Championships.

Prior to this, the Filipinos won the 30th Southeast Asian Games (SIBOL), the M2 World Championships (Bren Esports), the MSC 2021 (Execration), the M3 World Championships (Blacklist International), 31st Southeast Asian Games (SIBOL), and the MSC 2022 (RSG PH).

The Indonesians entered the best-of-five series with a 1-0 incentive after winning the upper bracket finals.

Jabran “Branz” Wiloko’s Beatrix then steered the EVOS Legends-backed Indonesia to a 17-minute win in Game One. He put up a perfect 8-0-6 KDA line while Rachmad “DreamS” Wahyudi’s Franco set up the pace with three kills, two deaths, and a game-high 10 assists.

DreamS continued his fine play for Indonesia, scoring eight kills and five assists against four deaths on Kadita to help his side win the gold-clinching Game Three.
