Ken Tuffin to have one last run with Wellington before entering PBA Draft

Ken Tuffin will run it back one last time with Wellington.

The 25-year-old Filipino-Kiwi has signed on with the Saints for the 2023 New Zealand-National Basketball League season.

And he is doing this to not just have a proper farewell to Wellington, but also to make him ready for the 2023 PBA Draft.

“Wellington’s home for me, this is where I’m from, this is where I grew up and I’m super excited to be back with the Wellington Saints this year before I make the move over to the Philippines for the PBA draft later in the year,” he said.

Tuffin previously played for Taranaki during the 2020 season before signing with his home team from 2021 to 2022.

During the 2021 season, the Saints won the crown.

Last season, Tuffin put up numbers of 8.21 points, 2.74 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game.

“KT is all about the work. He is a consummate professional and makes everybody around him better. He plays with a passion and intensity that will help drive our team forward,” said Saints head coach Troy McLean.

This time around, Tuffin is looking to lead Wellington to its 13th championship.

“We definitely have unfinished business as a club and can’t wait for the squad to get together and get to work.”
