Pheww leads SIBOL ML team for SEAG

SIBOL has announced that its main five players will come from Bren Esports for the 32nd Southeast Asian Games, which will be held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Leading the charge for SIBOL is Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel, who was part of the Philippines’ national team that won the first-ever gold medal in the Southeast Asian Games back in 2019.

Arcangel’s return to the national team after three years is a huge boost for SIBOL, and fans will be eagerly awaiting his performance in Cambodia.

Joining Arcangel on the squad are several other talented players, including MPL PH Season 10 Best Rookie Kyle “KyleTzy” Sayson, M2 World Champion David “FlapTzy” Canon, Stephen “Super Marco” Requitano, and Rowgien “Owgen” Unigo.

The team is rounded out by ONIC PH exp laner Nowee “Ryota” Macasa.

Interestingly, no player from ECHO, the reigning M4 World Champions, was named in the national team.

This may come as a surprise to some fans, but Bren Esports head coach Francis “Duckey” Glindro will be tasked with leading the team to success nonetheless.

The Philippines is a two-time defending champion in the Southeast Asian Games, having won gold at the 30th edition held in San Juan and the 33rd edition held in Hanoi three years later.

Arcangel, Jeniel Bata-anon, Allan Castromayor, Karl Nepomuceno, Carlito Ribo, Jason Torculas, and Kenneth Villa formed the 2019 squad while Kyle Soto, Danerie Del Rosario, Salic Imam, Lee Howard Gonzales, Johnmar Villaluna, Dexter Alaba, and Russel Usi retained the crown for the country three years later.

With the roster Bren Esports has assembled, there is no doubt that SIBOL will be a formidable opponent for the other teams in the competition.
