MPL PH: TNC finally barge into win column, sweeps Onic

TNC Pro Team looked to have found their winning formula after an impressive 2-0 victory over Onic Philippines for their maiden season win in Week 3 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 11 on Saturday.

The Phoenix Army brought back Ben “Benthings” Maglaque and former Rookie of the Season Joemarie “Escalera” Delos Santos, members of their Season 9 third-placer roster, which translated into their breakthrough win.

They were coming off fourth consecutive losses, all via sweeps, but were towed by their long-time players in their best team performance this season.

“Siguro naging open and vocal lang kami sa isa’t isa. Yung feelings namin nagconnect-connect na. And siguro para sakin, nahanap na namin yung (winning) formula,” said head coach Laurenz “Lift” Ruiz after TNC finally snapped its lose streak.

TNC first overcame their slump thanks to Benthings’ (Diggie) stellar play, snatching away the lord objective twice to deny Onic’s comeback attempts in the opener.

The TNC roamer took the match MVP honors courtesy of a 1-2-15 KDA and enabling his team to tally their first-ever match win this season.

In Game 2, TNC unveiled the Hanzo jungle pick that proved effective as they controlled the objectives throughout the match.

King Cyric “K1NGKONG” Perez (Hanzo) secured two turtle buffs and two lords that led to an easy win by the 14th minute.
