Marck Espejo takes Spikers Turf Finals MVP hattrick

Despite missing out on this conference’s Elite Team, Marck Espejo still got the big one.

The 6-foot-3 spiker out of Marikina was adjudged the 2023 Spikers Turf Open Conference Finals Most Valuable Player after carrying Cignal to a sweep of Cotabato in the Finals, Friday at Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

Espejo was grateful but deflected the credit to his teammates.

During Game One last Wednesday, Espejo tallied 25 big points on 22 attacks and three blocks in their three-set win.

He followed it up with a 28-point masterpiece to carry Cignal to its fourth title in the league.

This is Espejo’s third Finals MVP crown, winning the award in the Reinforced 2019 and Open 2019.
