Quentin Millora-Brown enters transfer portal

In a surprise move, Quentin Millora-Brown entered the NCAA transfer portal on Thursday morning (Manila time).

The development comes after the 6-foot-10 Filipino-American big man previously stated that he is coming back to Vanderbilt University for his final year.

“I think it’s a huge opportunity to just step up and just establish what I’m gonna do,” Millora-Brown said to the Vanderbilt Hustler.

Millora-Brown spent the last three years with Vanderbilt after spending his first year with Rice University.

In his senior year, Millora-Brown averaged 3.5 points and 4.33 rebounds in 36 games for the Commodores. He started 24 games.

Prior to him entering the portal, there were at least two UAAP schools interested in getting Millora-Brown.

Millora-Brown, 22, has two more years of eligibility in the UAAP if he decides to pursue college here. Already obtaining a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he is eligible to play as early as Season 86.

Besides Millora-Brown, there are four other Fil-Ams who are currently in the portal.

Another Division I player in Beon Riley has left Hawaii after just two seasons.

In his stay with the Rainbow Warriors, the 6-foot-6 guard averaged 3.26 points and 2.72 rebounds in three starts.

He has three years of eligibility left in the UAAP. If he decides to transfer to a UAAP school, he must sit out one year before being eligible for Season 87.

Division II prospects 6-foot guard Lian Ramiro of Colorado, 6-foot-6 winger Isaac Ticeson of Point Loma Nazarene University, and 6-foot-1 guard Aidan Sevilla of Regis University are also in the portal.
