32nd SEA Games

PMNVT added to SEAG Pool A

The Philippine Men’s National Volleyball Team has officially been added to the 32nd Southeast Asian Games’ men’s indoor volleyball tournament next month in Phnom Penh.

There were no redraws that took place as the seven participating nations agreed that the Philippines will instead be added to Pool A.

Also part of Pool A are Indonesia, Cambodia, and Singapore.

Pool B consists of Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Myanmar.

Early in the month, the Philippines was not part of the draw due to a ‘clerical error’ by the Philippine Olympic Committee.

The POC appealed the incident while the Philippine National Volleyball Federation – led by Tats Suzara – was able to secure the necessary votes for inclusion.

Currently, the national team is in Japan for a training camp.

Composing the men’s team are Joshua Umandal, Vince Mangulabnan, Steven Rotter, Lloyd Josafat, Kim Dayandante, Vince Lorenzo, Jayvee Sumagaysay, Rwenzmel Taguibolos, Leo Ordiales, Manuel Sumanguid, Jade Disquitado, Jay Rack Dela Noche, Cyrus De Guzman, and Michael Vincente.

The head coach of the team is Sergio Valadares Veloso.
