SEA Games: PWNVT pummels Cambodia for sizzling start


The Philippine women’s national volleyball team is off to a rousing start after thrashing home team Cambodia, 25-5, 25-5, 25-5 in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games at the Indoor Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Tuesday night.

Tots Carlos and Mylene Paat took turns in pummeling down hits against the Cambodians to help the Filipinas take a quick 2-0 advantage.

The Philippines then went on a scorching hot 10-1 run in the third frame and never looked back to grab a hold of the early lead in Group B alongside Vietnam with identical 1-0 records.

The Philippines will take on Vietnam tomorrow, Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
