MPL PH: Echo stages epic comeback, clinches reverse sweep against RSG

Echo turned the tables after an underwhelming opener, securing a 2-1 reverse sweep against RSG Philippines in Week 2 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 12, held at the Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati City on Sunday.

The defending champions remained undefeated in five games while handing RSG their third loss. Echo currently holds the top spot in the standings with 13 points, while relegating their opponents to the 6th spot with five points in five games.

Eman “EMANN” Sangco (Bruno) heated up early in Game 1, securing two kills in the first two minutes and helping RSG establish a substantial 9k net worth lead as early as the 7th minute. The Raiders wasted no time in showcasing their dominance, achieving the quickest victory of the match by taking down Echo in less than 10 minutes.

However, Echo swiftly bounced back in Game 2, utilizing the 13th-minute Lord fight to secure the objective and orchestrate a 5-1 wipeout to level the series.

In Game 3, both Alston “Sanji” Pabico (Novaria) and Jaypee “JayPee” dela Cruz (Kaja) took charge with precise aggression, leading Echo to a one-sided victory. The duo did not concede any deaths throughout the game, enabling Echo to complete the reverse sweep by the 14th minute.
