Converge, Jeron Teng part ways

Converge has parted ways with Jeron Teng.

In a memo sent to all PBA teams, the FiberXers have announced that they are unconditionally releasing Jeron Teng to free agency, despite him being a restricted free agent on Tuesday.

Teng’s deal with Converge expired last August 31.

With this release, Teng is now free to sign with any team.

Teng was one of the two remaining players in Converge who came from the Alaska franchise, with the other one being Kevin Racal.

He was drafted as the seventh overall pick by the Aces back in 2017.

In five seasons played in the PBA, the bruising 6-foot-2 forward has averaged 10.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.

The 29-year-old had his best season in terms of scoring a year ago, averaging 12.9 points to go along with 5.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 30 games played.

Now, Teng will be free to sign with any PBA team or head overseas.
