MPL PH: Blacklist zooms to 5th win as AP.Bren skid continues

Blacklist International showcased their dominance over AP.Bren with a 2-1 victory, marking the conclusion of the first half of the season in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 12, held at the Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati City on Sunday.

This win echoed Blacklist’s earlier 3-1 triumph over the reigning IESF World Champions in the upper-bracket semifinals of the MPL PH Season 11 playoffs.

The Tier One-backed squad secured the third spot with 12 points at the midway point of the season, trailing second-placed Onic Philippines (13 points) and the undefeated leaders, Echo (18 points).

In Game 1, Edward “Edward” Dapadap (Edith) displayed exceptional prowess, achieving a double kill after the first turtle fight. He further showcased his skills by single-handedly outplaying Marco “Super Marco” Requitiano (Bruno) and Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo (Rafaela) during a 9th-minute ambush, resulting in another double kill.

Relying on Edward’s dominance, Blacklist controlled the rest of the game, winning the opener with a significant 13-3 lead in the kill score. Agent 0 finished with an impressive 8-2-1 KDA.

Game 2 proved to be a back-and-forth battle until Michael “KyleTzy” Sayson (Baxia) secured the lord objective in the 9th minute, courtesy of Owgen’s (Minotaur) pinpoint Minoan Fury setup.

KyleTzy then delivered the finishing blow two minutes later, forcing a rubber match.

The decisive final match hinged on a 20th inhibitor turret skirmish, where Kiel “Oheb” Soriano (Brody) secured a triple kill. He went on to lead a 4-3 exchange and outplayed Super Marco (Bruno) near the base turret, sealing the victory for Blacklist.

AP.Bren has now suffered three consecutive losses and is tied with Blacklist for the third spot, each with 12 points.
