MPL PH: Blacklist snaps three-game slide with sweep of Minana

Blacklist International solidified their playoff bid with a 2-0 sweep of Minana Evos, leapfrogging Onic Philippines to claim the fourth spot in the penultimate week of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 12 at the Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati City on Friday.

Blacklist finally secured a win after three consecutive losses and improved to a 6-5 record with 16 points.

Outside of fielding Season 11’s best rookie Kenneth “Yue” Tadeo in the series, Renejay “Renejay” Barcase also came out with the surprising Diggie pick, his first this season and one of Blacklist’s iconic picks in the previous seasons.

“Pinag-aralan ko po muna gamitin. Tsaka si nagrerequest na lagi si momshoe sa live naririnig ko. Ilabas na daw si Diggie. Ilalabas naman namin talaga si Diggie pero syempre depende pa rin sa team comp ng kalaban kung masmaganda si Diggie. Saka kung ano yung pinractice namin. This week kasi yun yung mga ginawa namin, so nalabas namin siya sa series,” explained Renejay on his unlikely Diggie pick in Game 1 of the series.

In Game 1, Blacklist needed only 11 minutes to defeat Minana Evos, with Kiel “Oheb” Soriano (Brody) delivering a masterful 5-0-4 KDA.

Season 11’s best rookie, Kenneth “Yue” Tadeo (Novaria), made his debut for Blacklist and also finished with a spotless 1-0-9 KDA.

The same story continued as Blacklist dominated Minana, not losing a single turret en route to a 13-minute victory.

Yue once again displayed an impeccable performance on Novaria, concluding the series with a 1-0-7 KDA and 100% kill participation.
