Converge releases Quincy Miller to TNT

Converge has relinquished its rights on Quincy Miller which will pave the way for him to be TNT’s import for the start of the 2023-24 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

The development was first reported by Spin.ph’s Gerry Ramos and confirmed to Tiebreaker Times by FiberXers team manager Jacob Lao.

Miller, 30, was Converge’s import during last season’s Commissioner’s Cup.

The former NBA pro averaged 29.85 points, 15.38 rebounds, 3.31 assists, 2.92 blocks, and 1.92 steals in 13 games played.

However, his stint with Converge was not without controversies.

FiberXers head coach Aldin Ayo sat Miller out in a crucial game against Northport late into the tournament for breaking team protocol.

Converge was bounced in the quarterfinals.

Still, Converge harbors no ill feelings towards Miller which resulted in him gaining clearance to play for TNT as a temporary replacement for Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.

“We made the decision to release Quincy Miller as TNT’s replacement import with a clear purpose in mind. Our goal is to challenge ourselves against the best in the PBA,” said the young sports executive.

“TNT, Ginebra, and San Miguel represent the standards of excellence in this league, and we aspire to reach their level one day. It is through facing them at their peak that we can learn and grow as a team.”

Miller has been TNT’s second import in the EASL.
