Kevin Quiambao will return for UAAP Season 87: ‘One more year’

Kevin Quiambao’s thirst for gold has not been quenched despite winning the UAAP Season 86 Men’s Basketball championship.

The sophomore all-around big man announced during the De La Salle University Green Archers’ celebration that he will return for UAAP Season 87.

“Salamat sa suporta mula nung first round,” said the generational talent out of Muntinlupa City, who is 22 years old.

“One more year!”

Sensational was Quiambao for the entirety of this season.

During the elimination round, the 6-foot-6 forward averaged 16.71 points, 10.86 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 1.93 steals to run away with the Season MVP trophy.

This feat included a couple of triple-doubles.

In their three-game epic against University of the Philippines, Quiambao normed 14.66 points, 9.33 rebounds, 2.33 assists, and 2.0 blocks per game.

Though there are numerous interests for Quiambao to go pro — specifically from the B.League, he will stay on for a back to back.
