MP the King believes See You Soon has yet to peak in M5

Michael “MP the King” Endino of See You Soon expressed confidence that his team still has more to give heading into the Knockout Stage despite losing to ONIC Esports 2-0 at the M5 World Championship Group Stage.

MP the King believes that the team’s recent performances have not yet showcased their absolute best. Although he is somewhat satisfied to qualify for the knockout stage in his maiden M-series appearance, he feels there is still a lot of work to do to improve their gameplay.

“Masaya ako kasi nakapasok kami sa next round kahit paano, pero parang kulang siya. Parang hindi siya fulfilled talaga na sobrang saya. Parang feeling ko mas lalong sasaya if mas mabibigay namin yung best namin, mas bibigyan namin ng magandang laban yung mga taong nanonood sa amin, mga taong sumusuporta sa amin,” MP the King told Tiebreaker Times in an exclusive interview.

“Parang feel ko kasi yung performance namin ngayon di pa ‘yan yung to the max level, kumbaga may mas ibubuga pa kami kaya mas sasaya ako, mas gagaan yung pakiramdam ko if nabigay na namin lahat. Kasi parang ngayon di pa talaga namin nabibigay lahat e, kaya ayun di siya fulfilled na sobrang saya kasi may mas ibubuga ka pa e pero di pa kaya ng team ilabas kasi may kailangan pang ayusin, may mga aspect na kailangan i-fix pa,” he continued.

The former Nexplay EVOS jungler pointed out that the team needs more discipline and reinforcement of their chemistry to be able to maximize their potential, making them a more dangerous threat to opponents in the knockouts.

“Siguro more on chemistry tapos more on discipline as a team because alam naman natin na parang isang season palang kami nagsama-sama tapos unexpected din yung pagpasok namin sa M5, kaya kahit sabihin natin na six months [pa lang na magkakasama] parang di pa masyadong enough samin para magamay yung isa’t isa talaga,” said the 19-year-old jungler.

With that in mind, MP the King also recognized the holes in his gameplay that can be crucial as they try to make a deep run in the M5.

“Siguro more on adjustment kasi di na ako masyado naglaro ng utility kaya parang nahihirapan kami minsan. Kasi hindi naman palagi damage ka lang na core kailangan talaga oras na babaan mo yung pride mo tapos kailangan mo maging team player para mas gumaan yung laro,” he said.

See You Soon finished second in Group A behind Onic Esports. They now await the results of the remaining group stage matches to prepare for the knockout stage.
