Aby Marano joins Ara Galang in Chery Tiggo

Chery Tiggo has scored another haul for the second consecutive season.

Following the signing of Ara Galang, the Crossovers announced on Tuesday that they have also signed Aby Marano for the 2024 Premier Volleyball League season.

For the 31-year-old middle blocker, joining Chery Tiggo has reignited her excitement after the disbandment of F2 Logistics.

“Actually, naeexcite talaga ako to be a part of Chery Tiggo, parang ‘pag nagda-drive ka lang di’ba, parang ang sarap umarangkada kasama ang Chery,” she shared.

Marano is also eagerly anticipating reuniting with her former national team teammates.

“At the same time, ‘yung mga players kasi from Chery, nakasama ko na sila from the national team – especially sina Mylene Paat, si Jasmine Nabor, si Shaya (Adorador), si Eya (Laure), (Jennifer) Nierva, and a lot more. So excited ako to be working with these players,” she continued.

Throughout her career, Marano has been known for her ‘Beast Mode Don’t Care’ mentality. She vows to bring the same mindset to Chery Tiggo.

“They’ve (the fans) known me as a player with a very big heart. Very passionate, vocal, and a leader, so I want them to expect that from me. Going to Chery Tiggo, dadalhin ko lahat ‘yun. Message na lang sa mga fans namin, maraming salamat sa lahat ng panahon na sinuportahan kami with our last team. We hope na sabayan nila kami at samahan kami sa new journey namin with Chery. To all the Chery Tiggo fans, excited kami para sa inyong mainit na pagtanggap,” the 5-foot-8 blocker from Passi, Iloilo said.

“Sana po ay makuha natin ‘yung goal natin. We will try our best and work hard to give you a really, really great fight. Ipaglalaban natin ang Chery.”
