Kean Baclaan bids NU farewell

After two years at National University, Kean Baclaan has decided to move on and write a new chapter in his career.

The 5-foot-8 guard, who turned 21 years old last January 2, bid farewell to the school shortly after his birthday, according to multiple sources closely monitoring the situation.

Sources close to Baclaan’s camp stressed that leaving the school was a tough decision, emphasizing that it was not a financial choice and noting that he feels content with what he was receiving at NU.

However, moving out of the Bulldogs’ camp was a necessary decision for Baclaan to make in order to grow not just as a student but also as a player.

Baclaan dazzled during his first two years with NU.

During his rookie year, he put up numbers of 8.36 points, 4.21 assists, 3.43 rebounds, and 1.64 steals per contest.

The heady guard raised his game in his sophomore year, averaging 10.73 points, 4.8 assists, and 4.53 rebounds.

In both seasons though, the Bulldogs placed third.

It is still unknown where the young guard out of Muntinlupa will head next.

Tiebreaker Times sources said that three UAAP schools,  two top-tier NCAA schools, and a couple of MPBL squads have expressed interest in acquiring Baclaan.
