Ced Domingo commits to Akari

Once she comes back from Thailand, Ced Domingo will have a new Premier Volleyball League team.

The 2022 Open Conference Finals MVP will be transferring from Creamline to Akari after her stint with Nakhon Ratchasima.

Moving to a new team was a tough decision to make for Domingo, who spent the past five years with the Cool Smashers.

But it was a necessary decision to make.

“Leaving Creamline is always a difficult decision. That’s how it felt in October, especially when the offer for the Thailand stint came abruptly, but I thought opportunities like this don’t come often, so I grabbed it,ā€ she said.

ā€œNo regrets because there are so many learnings here that I know I will cherish from this experience.ā€

She added that her stint in Thailand has been an eye-opening experience for her.PVL-2023-PLDT-vs.-Creamline-Ced-Domingo-7162 Ced Domingo commits to Akari News PVL Volleyball - philippine sports news

ā€œAnd this time, it’s another tough decision to leave them for good. Honestly, the management has always been so understanding, and until my last conversation with Sir Alan (Acero), I still felt valued, so I will always have high respect for the entire Creamline family,ā€ Domingo continued.

Once she returns, she joins an up-and-coming team headlined by vets Dindin Santiago-Manabat, Grethcel Soltones, and Bang Pineda.

Also in the squad are rising stars Faith Nisperos, Fifi Sharma, and Justine Jazareno.

ā€œNakakaoverwhelm yung mga pangyayari. Ganun pala yun, pag binuksan mo yung pinto tapos ang daming kumakatok, talagang nakaka-overwhelm. Gratefully, my VP family helped me sort things out. They assisted me in finding the best team that would match my interests, goals and values and a team that will help me improve more,ā€ she expressed.

ā€œIā€™m really happy dito sa naging decision ko especially because I know I took everything into consideration. From nakaka-overwhelm, ngayon excitement na yung nafee-feel ko.”
