Chery Tiggo releases three players to free agency

Chery Tiggo unloaded three players after securing the services of former F2 Logistics stars Aby Marano and Ara Galang, the team announced on Tuesday afternoon.

The Crossovers let go of middle blocker Jaycel Delos Reyes, opposite spiker France Ronquillo, and libero Bingle Landicho, making way for the arrival of Marano and Galang to Chery Tiggo’s lair.

“Forever part of the CHERY fam,” opened Chery Tiggo’s Facebook post.

“Thank you for all the hardwork and sacrifice, Bingle, Jaycel, and France! We wish you nothing but the absolute best in your respective next chapters,” said the team.

Out of the three, Delos Reyes got the most minutes under her belt, playing in spurts as the team lost rookie Imee Hernandez to a left knee injury amid the season-ending Second All-Filipino Conference.

Meanwhile, both Ronquillo and Landicho struggled to find minutes with Mylene Paat occupying the opposite spiker spot and the duo of Buding Duremdes and Jennifer Nierva taking turns in the libero position.

Chery Tiggo is looking to get back to the finals with the addition of Marano and Galang following a fourth place finish in the Second All-Filipino Conference, where they lost the battle for bronze series against Cignal.
