Caitlin Viray takes leap of faith in joining Farm Fresh

Caitlin Viray feels excited about what lies ahead after signing with Farm Fresh for the upcoming 2024 Premier Volleyball League season.

Viray revealed that she felt the need to step out of her comfort zone, explaining her decision to leave the Choco Mucho Flying Titans and join the young Foxies.

“As I grow more in the industry, I feel the need to step out of my comfort zone and explore more challenges, this time with a new family in the Farm Fresh Foxies,” said Viray.

The former UST standout had an impressive campaign with Choco Mucho, eventually taking on the starting opposite hitter role before falling out of the rotation and losing the spot to Kat Tolentino in the Second All-Filipino Conference.

Viray expressed her excitement about teaming up with the Foxies’ young core, especially up-and-coming setter Louie Romero, as she embarks on a new journey after spending the past few years with the Flying Titans.

“I am excited to grow with this young and potent team, especially with a new coach at the helm, a Japanese coach whom Iā€™m very excited to learn a lot from,” said Viray.

“I’ve also seen how disciplined and talented the team is. In two conferences, they managed to impress so many people, including coaches, co-athletes, and most especially the fans. I am personally very excited to play alongside Louie Romero,” she added.

Viray, who helped the team reach its first-ever finals in the season-ending conference, thanked Choco Mucho for helping her grow and allowing her to shine.

“It’s been four years of playing with Choco Mucho, and I have nothing but gratitude, respect, and love for the team and management. Bagging the silver last conference, our highest since Iā€™ve played there, was so fulfilling, and I believe it is a good way to cap my journey with them,” said Viray.

“This 2024, there are new goals for me to achieve, new experiences to enjoy, and new challenges to conquer as a Foxie.”
