Akari gears Up for PVL opening sans Ced Domingo

Ced Domingo is ready to make her return to the Premier Volleyball League this March.

Domingo recently moved from Creamline to the Chargers during the off-season.

She is still fulfilling her obligations with Nakhon Ratchasima, but will possibly see action for Akari in the All-Filipino Conference when she returns in the first week of March.

“Well, ang makakasagot siguro yung team manager namin but nabigyan naman ako ng update niya, sabi niya first week of March nandito na siya,” said Akari interim head coach Raffy Mosuela, revealing during the PVL Media Day on Sunday.

Despite Domingo’s expected absence, Mosuela believes that the Chargers will head to the season-opening conference well-prepared.

The interim head coach also said that they will maximize the final week of preparations and prepare for their opening match against Cignal.

“Siguro mga nasa 70 percent pa lang kasi may week pa kami na kailangan namin from the start ng PVL na i-polish yung preparation, of course, against Cignal, our first game,” said Mosuela.

Mosuela also shared that the team already managed to pinpoint the areas they needed to improve during the Akari Cup, which he said played a crucial role in their build-up for the All-Filipino Conference.

“Well, nung Akari Cup, although nag-first runner-up lang kami, marami ako at yung team na nakitang kailangan pang i-ayos talaga or i-improve for preparation nga sa PVL. Yun yung pinaka-ano namin, yung preparation for PVL.”
