NLEX launches ‘Dayo’ to bring Road Warriors closer to fans

The NLEX Road Warriors recently introduced their “Dayo” program, initiating its maiden leg in the picturesque town of Burgos, Ilocos Sur last month.

Translated as “visit” in Filipino, “Dayo” epitomizes the team’s dedication to connecting with communities in the north, using basketball as a unifying force.

The warm embrace from Mayor Nathaniel “Boy” Escobar set the tone for the visit, coinciding with the town’s lively fiesta celebrations.

NLEX legend Asi Taulava, along with the team governor Ronald Dulatre, eagerly engaged with the local community, creating lasting memories with fans in attendance.

“Dayo aims to foster connections and cultivate stronger relationships with the diverse communities and provinces of North Luzon. We are also positive that this will inspire the youth, now that we are bringing the NLEX Road Warriors closer to them,” shared NLEX President and General Manager, Luigi L. Bautista.

Expressing enthusiasm for the inaugural “Dayo” event of the year, Bautista stated, “This is our way of giving back to the community. We believe in the power of sports to unite, inspire, and make a positive impact in the communities we visit.”

Beyond the thrilling basketball matches on the court, “Dayo” is part of NLEX’s and NRW’s broader commitment to community development and the promotion of a positive impact that extends beyond the realm of basketball.

As the Road Warriors continue to roll out their community initiatives, it’s clear that their mission goes beyond victories on the scoreboard, aiming to uplift and inspire the regions they touch.
