ANTIPOLO – Roger Pogoy leads the cast of replacements called up for the much-awaited PBA All-Star Bacolod 2024 next weekend.

The TNT gunner will be taking the spot of Tyler Tio in Team Japeth Aguilar as the Phoenix main man continues to recover from a slight ankle fracture.

Set for his fifth All-Star stint, Pogoy will join Christian Standhardinger, Paul Lee, Calvin Oftana, Jamie Malonzo, Chris Newsome, Don Trollano, Marcio Lassiter, Arvin Tolentino, Maverick Ahanmisi, Stanley Pringle, and Terrence Romeo.2024-PBA-Philippine-Cup-Ginebra-vs-Rain-or-Shine-Scottie-Thompson-scaled Roger Pogoy called up as replacement for Tyler Tio in PBA All-Star Basketball News PBA - philippine sports news

Meanwhile, Rain or Shine winger Santi Santillan will be busier in Bacolod as he takes the place of teammate Keith Datu in skills challenges.

With the Fil-Am rookie out for several weeks due to a sprained medial collateral ligament, the La Salle product will instead compete in his place in the Obstacle Challenge as well as in the Three-Point Shootout featuring big men.

Taking Datu’s spot in the Rookies-Sophomores-Juniors Game, on the other hand, is Blackwater rookie Christian David.

The second overall pick of the 2023 Rookie Draft will be joining Team Stalwarts, which also has Santillan, no, 1 pick Stephen Holt, Fran Yu, Adrian Nocum, Kim Aurin, JM Calma, Joshua Munzon, Anton Asistio, and Keith Zaldivar.

Kyt Jimenez won’t see action after suffering a freak accident but no word yet from the league if it will bring in a replacement for the San Miguel rookie.
