Kiesha Bedonia’s impact undeniable in PLDT’s stunner vs Choco Mucho

Kiesha Bedonia had a four-point game on Tuesday evening.

When one would only look at that output, it might be too low for a game that reached five sets.

However, when one would look at the gravity of those hits, Bedonia was one important piece for PLDT’s 25-20, 25-12, 23-25, 11-25, 15-13 emphatic victory over previously-unbeaten Choco Mucho at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.

The High Speed Hitters’ rookie out of Far Eastern University was only injected onto the floor in the fourth set scoring a point there but the Flying Titans dominated them there, 25-11.

Her impact was felt in the deciding frame as she tallied three of her points there, including the clutchest of hits.

Sobrang gutom na gutom po kami manalo talaga ngayon kaya yung mga hard training namin talaga, nagbunga ngayon,” said Bedonia, who signed with PLDT in February.

That gamble by head coach Rald Ricafort was a no-brainer for him.

He shared that they prioritized signing players in the offseason who can instantly contribute while also having a high upside.

Aside from Bedonia, the High Speed Hitters also acquired rookie Shiela Kiseo along with former F2 Logistics stars Majoy Baron, Kim Fajardo, and Kianna Dy, who is still recovering from an injury.

With this huge win, PLDT created a five-way logjam at the top of the standings with Choco Mucho, Creamline, Petro Gazz, and Cignal.

“Mukha lang mahiyain yan saka bata pero ball is life yan. Matapang yan kaya alam namin na kaya namang magdeliver,” added Ricafort.
