Aurora’s offseason moves found in compliance with MPL PH ‘anti-poaching rule’

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) Committee has completed a thorough review of the recent player transfer involving Aurora and Blacklist International.

In a statement released to Tiebreaker Times, the MPL PH Committee confirmed that it had worked closely with the parties involved and thoroughly examined every aspect of the transfer to ensure that the move complied with the league’s anti-poaching rule.

“The MPL PH Committee has vetted through thoroughly the process of the transfer. We worked hand in hand with both Aurora and Blacklist International to ensure that everything will be settled properly, following our rules on anti-poaching,” the league told Tiebreaker Times.

The anti-poaching regulations are designed to prevent teams from directly contacting players without the approval of their current management.

“For any transfers and/or entry of new organizations, we assist the teams to make sure that the anti-poaching rules will not be violated. We hope this clarifies,” the statement continued.

In a shock move, pioneer player Edward “Edward.” Dapadap along with midlaner Kenneth “Yue” Tadeo, and coaches Aniel “Master the Basics” Jiandani and Dexter “DEX STAR” Alaba left the Tier One-backed squad to transfer to the new MPL PH team.

Blacklist International co-owner Tryke Gutierrez recently took to social media to criticize the ‘lack of transparency’ in the transfer.

“Hindi ko na-feel na tinraydor ako. Ang na-feel ko is sana sinabihan po ako. Hindi nung mga players ko, kung hindi nung mga taong kumausap sa kanila,” said Tryke.

The issue was ultimately resolved after Tryke and several members of Aurora later addressed the matter on social media.

Inactive stars Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna and Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario, considered the organization’s brightest gems, also made the jump to Aurora as their esports and gaming content directors.

Also making the move to Aurora is Renejay “Renejay” Barcarse, who took a one-season break following the team’s Season 12 campaign.

OhMyV33NUS has already clarified that she and Wise sought permission from Tier One first before buying themselves out of the organization.

Meanwhile, Renejay claimed that he does not have an existing contract with the team following his decision to skip Season 13.
