Brent Paraiso on facing La Salle: ‘It was like facing your brothers’

For the first time in two years, Brent Paraiso and the De La Salle University Green Archers shared the same court.

But Paraiso was on the other side playing for the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers.

And it was a weird feeling for the 20-year-old swingman.

“Weird,” quipped Paraiso.

“Sobrang weird kasi it was like facing your brothers.”

Paraiso, a product of De La Salle-Zobel, played for the Green Archers from Season 79 to 80. He played in 19 games, averaging just 7.6 minutes per contest.

Paraiso, together with brothers Prince and Ricci Rivero, left La Salle back on February 2, 2018.

Sunday afternoon did not go as planned, though, as La Salle routed UST, 72-49.

“Didn’t go as planned. We wanted to win but it is what it is,” shared Paraiso, who went scoreless in 21 minutes of game time.

Following this, Paraiso is hungry to get back at La Salle come the UAAP season. But before anything else, he shared that they first have to get better as a team.

“We are getting better kaso yung today was like a fall down lang. We have to get back up.”
