Terrence Romeo shows son the life he chose

Terrence Romeo had a very special guest in attendance during Game Seven of the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup Finals.

While he celebrated the San Miguel Beermen’s fifth straight Philippine Cup – his first-ever championship in the pros – the flamboyant guard quickly searched for him in the audience.

Once he found him, he carried him into his arms, savoring the moment.

It was his eight-month-old son, Terrence Romeo, Jr.

“First time ko siya dinala sa laro.

“Yun talaga yung plano ko. Sabi ko na kapag nag-champion kami, doon ko siya ilalabas,” the 27-year-old guard shared.

Romeo is known to keep his life outside the court private.

But he wanted to show his son what his dad is doing for a living.

For the first six years of his career, Romeo won three scoring championships. However, he never led the Globalport Batang Pier even to a Finals appearance.

Then just a few months ago, he had a turbulent time with the TNT Katropa, who later sent him to San Miguel in a post-Draft Day trade.

All of this brought out his naysayers and bashers.

Now a champion, he has this to say to his doubters:

Malas daw ako sa San Miguel,” the product of FEU expressed.

Malamang bago na yon,” he continued.

Though he has had ups and down in his career, Romeo wants his son to one day experience this as well.

And if this happens, he will be the one cheering for his son all the way.
